The Commodores have extended an offer to Independence wide receiver Nate Johnson tonight. The in-state, playmaker has been committed to Purdue since June, when he received an offer after his satellite camp performance the Boilermakers hosted at Hillsboro (Tenn).
Not long afterward, the three-star rated prospect showed up at Vanderbilt's Friday Night Lights camp and absolutely lit it up, showing off his quickness, speed, and precision route-running that left a couple of cornerbacks laying flat on their backs during 1-on-1 competition.
In response to his offer from the Commodores, Johnson had this to say:
"Love the offer and being the first from the SEC and my first visit there will probably be an official."
With the Commodores set to host Kentucky and Texas A&M the next couple of weekends. However, Johnson doesn't have an exact official visit date set right now.
Northwestern and Tennessee are other schools that are currently expressing interest in him as well.
