- Vanderbilt target Noah Fant told VandySports.com that he plans to make a decision in early July. His top schools are currently Nebraska, Iowa, UCLA, and Vanderbilt. Nebraska wants him at defensive end, and UCLA wants him as a tight end. Iowa and Vanderbilt are willing to let him choose what position that he wants to play. If he were to choose defense at Vanderbilt, he would be an outside linebacker. Most feel that he prefers the offensive side of the ball.

- Virginia defensive end Christian Brooks plans to visit Vanderbilt again in August. Vanderbilt impressed Brooks on his visit last month. Brooks is the former high school teammate of current Vanderbilt offensive lineman Justin Skule.

- A running back prospect that might jump on the radar is Florida athlete Jamauri Wakefield. The 208-pound back rushed for 2,519 yards and 37 touchdowns as a junior. He has offers from Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, South Florida, and others. Junior Highlights

- Speaking of running back targets, Tre Bryant plans to visit Vanderbilt this weekend. Damarea Crockett plans to participate in Friday Night Lights next week, and Sam Brodner visited this past week. Vanderbilt is getting their running back targets on campus. It'll be interesting to see if they can secure a verbal from one of these prospects.

- Offensive line target Sterling Strother is camping at Stanford today. If he doesn't get an offer from the Cardinal, the Commodores may land the 3-star lineman sooner than later. He plans to visit Vanderbilt next week.

- Utah defensive end Jayden Palauni told VandySports.com that he probably couldn't make it to Nashville this summer, but he plans to take an official visit to Vanderbilt in the fall.

- Vanderbilt landed its fifth commitment of the 2016 class today in Indiana defensive lineman Cameron Tidd. Tidd is a well put together defensive lineman that should fit the 3-4 defense well. He told VandySports.com today that he plans to recruit fellow high school teammate and best friend Jovan Swann. Swann visited Vanderbilt for the spring game.
