The PERFECT replacement for Clark Lea’s staff opening is out there……

And his name is Will Healy.

Want someone that’ll win recruiting battles and fire up his players each/every day?

Back up the brinks truck, make him a Co-Coordinator, whatever you have to do. CSL and co are familiar with him from the last search - this makes too much sense.

Get it done.

FB Recruiting Friday morning notes

- Arkansas tight end Jordon Harris will officially visit Missouri this weekend. He told me that his official visit to Vanderbilt was 'fantastic'. He said that he will make his final decision on December 21st. Vanderbilt likes him at tight end, and Missouri is recruiting him as an athlete (likely defensive end). He said that he has no preference on position.

- With official visits this weekend, we never got official word, but we know the following two prospects plan to officially visit this weekend.

QB Brennan Storer also plans to visit, but I'm not not sure if it is a official or unofficial.

- With Pimpton, there's been conflicting reports on whether he is visiting Texas this weekend. Some networks are saying that he is, but we've heard from our Texas publishers at Rivals that he isn't planning to visit Texas. That is something to watch this weekend. If he doesn't visit, that is a definite positive for Vanderbilt.

- As mentioned yesterday, Vanderbilt hosted Temple transfer defensive end Darian Varner yesterday. He visits Virginia Tech today and Ole Miss tomorrow. The 6-foot-2 and 260-pound defensive end finished last season with 35 tackles, 12.5 TFL, and 7.5 sacks in only 10 games.

- Also to recap yesterday, Georgia Tech offered Vanderbilt running back target Deago Benson. Georgia Tech recently hired former Vanderbilt running backs coach Norval McKenzie.

Confession

I purchased some Vandy gear at Costco today that sports the BP 'V.' I usually take the course of least resistance and buy most of my VU gear at Costco when I'm passing thru. Unless I decide to put more effort into my VU gear shopping, I may never have any other choice going forward. My primary confession--which may raise the ire of some--is that I'm starting to more or less "like" or tolerate the new 'V.' I do wish some of the new gear would feature the Star BP 'V' logo, which is an official option (the one that looks more like the traditional Star V).

IMPORTANT DISCOVERY: Apparently TPB at VU threw out the Star PB 'V' logo (spirit mark) that I like better. What a downer. It was almost identical to the old Star V with the exception of the shape of the 'V.' Seems like someone wanted to put a stake thru the Star V's heart!

all,
I am shocked, stunned, and saddened by the revelation that I received no nominations for any superlatives from this illustrious group of posters. for any of you bemoaning the awards and accolades you did receive, i suggest you instead embrace them, and relish in your notoriety, however repugnant they might seem to you. alas, my future here is uncertain at best.
not.
happy holidays to all of you tortured souls still in here that support the black and gold !
anchor down,
and go to hell ut.
