Had some fun yesterday and then it hit me.

With the extra snow we got yesterday and nothing really good on I did a little digging under the VandyV entertainment center and found were I had kept some old football games ranging from the 70's thru 2006 era and started watching some of them. Got to see Jay Cutler and Mosses fumble recovery against OM to seal the deal and Bryant Hahnfeldt kick the game winner against GA in Athens with 2 secs left GOOD TIMES. Then it hit me in today's crappy NIL world. Would we have ever seen/shared the Cutlers, Bennett, J Mathews, DJ Moore Legends of recent VU lore ??? I know Swann and Shep have signed NIL/Anchor collective deals for how much I don't know but it takes more than just 2 to build a team.

But is this the end of VU and others for not having legacies/legends ??? And can not a top 25 cash cows ever build a roster that isn't heavy loaded in FR, R-FR, Soph ??? I am like most hate the NIL world we have now but never could put why it bothered me so much ( except for the obvious reason ) till now becasue I don't think this point of view has been mentioned. Anchor Down !

FB Recruiting Vandy OC Joey Lynch talks offensive signees and more

I saved this one for last. I think it's a good overview of the class offensively, and he also talks about the quarterback room a bit. Hope y'all have enjoyed these!

Off topic Deuce McAlister

McAlister is doing color on the Independence Bowl. IMO doing a very good job. What he has to say is informational. He doesn't try to overshadow Dave Neal. Or talk over the officials. Unlike another former player- i can't remember who- but he was convinced the only reason anyone tuned in was to hear him. Who actually said (and meant it): "If we could get the ref to shut up."

Hoops Recruiting Basketball unofficial visitor

Looks like Vanderbilt hosted Braden Pierce on an unofficial yesterday, a 7-footer from IMG Academy's post-grad team.

Doesn't appear Vandy has offered yet, but they were reportedly out to IMG a few weeks ago to see him. Pierce holds offers from NC State, Rutgers, Depaul, Seton Hall, along with a few others. Could be a late-rising guy that Vandy offers soon. Pierce is a 2023 guy that could sign in the late period.

Will take a more in-depth look at him if an offer becomes public but from the looks of it Pierce has a nice build for a 7-footer, is comfortable putting the ball on the floor, has some post game, and can step out a bit. Reminds me a bit of what I imagined Liam Robbins looked like at that stage but I imagine he is a bit more filled out, less mobile, and maybe not quite as athletic as Robbins was as a high schooler.
