Sitting at 23-6 and 6-3 in the SEC, it feels like we are just a big ole maybe...

We have tinkered with the lineup, the weekend rotation, roles in the bullpen and have done a good job of mixing in some of the young and exciting bats. I tend to think the Carl's Jr sweep was more of an outlier that occurred because of a lot of fluky stuff (dropped 3 routine flyballs which led to something like 12 runs, routine throwing errors, dropped balls in the infield, etc.). I just think these guys are more talented than what happened there and if we play that series 100 times, I believe we win 2 or more way more than 50% of the time, but in that 3 game series, it was a total disaster.

@WestNashDore felt like we were at best a 15-15 team and that he'd take that and run to a regional as a 2 seed. I disagree with that, but I really don't feel like I know a lot more after the Mizzou series.

I felt like we really had something going with this lineup:

Kozeal - 3 hole

Vastine - 9 hole

I do wish Corbs would go back to that first 4, seems like he agrees with Vastine at the bottom of the lineup.

Anywho, I do think this team can still be a National Seed, but I'm not sure how realistic that is at this point. If we go win 2/3 at LSU, I think things begin to look a little more promising.

Congrats to Austin!

At a baseball game where Glenn Seabrooks (Vandy Football DT commit). First of all he is huge. Second of all, he just hit a 400ft homerun to dead center.

-I've heard some people who would know raving about the way Byington and whatever semblance of a staff he has, which I believe to be more put together than not, have hit the recruiting trail. Byington was pretty clear that he would put an emphasis on the trail in his interview and he's seemed to back that talk up thus far with some long hours.

-The more I hear, the more I think Jaylen Carey will be their only transfer from James Madison.

-Tyler Tanner has indicated publicly that he'll end up at Vanderbilt. I get the sense that it hasn't been decided where Bilal and Vinson will play next year. I'll do some digging on that.

-Continues to feel as if Byington won that press conference and his first day on campus.

Losses by 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 seeds

Only Tennessee has won a game so far.

Not a good showing by the conference.

Kentucky wins again on the road, pummeling Ole Miss.

S Car wins on the road, beating Alabama.

Arkansas comes back a beats LSU (Arkansas looking far and away the cream of the crop).

Georgia has come back to take the lead on TN in Knoxville.

I'm heading there shortly.

Even with taking the series last night today is a badly needed game after last weekends debacle.

LSU dropped another last night to Ark and will be entering that series at either 2-7 or 3-6. Will be playing a desperate team in Baton Rouge.

Dont love that.
