TCU beats ORU. Not a fan of the horned frogs from Texas. Hope I fair better in the next game which features my second favorite team.

Will be my first time visiting Denver next week Sun- Wednesday for a work conference and wondering if the board had any recs beyond what I’ve gathered from friends.

Conference is at the Hilton Downtown Center. So far planning dinner at Guard & Grace Sunday night, Monday thinking spend biggest chunk of afternoon in the RiNo area checking out breweries etc. before the big work event that evening at Sculpture Pwrk.

Tuesday is pretty much wide open for me as I chose not to play in the golf tournament & the seminars during the day look pretty lame. I was thinking of renting a car and checking out the Garden of the Gods and seeing pikes peak in Colorado Springs (looks like an hour or so drive). Don’t know if that’s a good plan or not tbh.

Always has been such a great ambassador for the VandyBoys. He has and will continue to do big things!!

Kentucky has struck out on all their portal targets and currently only have 7 men on the roster for next year including 5 Fr. (now its the number one class but in the Portal/Covid era doesn't mean what it used to).

Tristen Brown, WR - Took an official with Utah last weekend. Washington State and Northwestern are his only other notable P5 offers recently. Had 35 catches for 988 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns while averaging 28 yards per catch. Tallied 1,414 all-purpose yards.

Dorian Williams, WR - Rescheduled from the first weekend to this weekend. He's coming off an official to Colorado State this past weekend. Kentucky has also emerged as a contender as well and are scheduled to have Williams on campus after his Vandy official this weekend.

Witt Edwards, TE - Coming off his first summer official to Iowa State last weekend. Has an official scheduled with Houston on June 23rd.

Cameron Keys, DB - Coming off a Kentucky official. Vandy this weekend and Missouri on June 23rd. That appears to be the top contenders, although he lists Miss. State in his Top 4.

Cam Dooley, ATH - Coming off a Kentucky official (broken record). Vanderbilt this weekend. This appears to be a two-team race for now.

Jaren Sensabaugh, CB - Local Ensworth product just camped and picked up an offer from Vanderbilt on Wednesday. He's also got an official with NC State, but I'd say the Commodores will likely get him.

LSU, Florida, Arkansas have made strong additions thus far. LSU just added the LHP closer from Xavier Justin Loer.

Is this a commentary on the current state of Vanderbilt women’s basketball recruiting ? Maybe our once proud top fifteen program is just going to take a while to come back , but it seems sad to me that we have a top five player in the country playing high school ball right down the road in Davidson County, a player whose sister currently plays for Vanderbilt , and we don’t even get a top seven sniff from her , even though four other SEC schools made that list. How far we have fallen . 😔

Gordon Sargent made the cut at even par and is the low Amateur still in the tournament. He is tied for 30th and two strokes ahead of three other amateur players. It would be a great accomplishment for him to win the tournament trophy for being the low amateur at the U S Open.
