I was late listening to Chris & Seabass this week, but got around to it this morning while walking my dog. Chris made the valid point that were it not for Sparks’ & Rexrode’s critiques of McGugin tail-wagging that Zeppos et al very likely would have not started the search for a new AD. Imagine if that had happened.
Very likely we would be looking at Candice Storey Lee as our AD today. I would have had no problems with her as an interim but we all know that Vandy would have settled with her for the long run (see former interim-Chancelor Zeppos). The Tennessean continues to disappoint me with their recent move, but I’m glad I got an online subscription this year just to read Sparks & Rexrode.
