- Since some of you have asked and he recently decommitted from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt is still showing interest in 3-star Germantown (Tenn.) athlete Jaylin Williams and could be a potential guy they pursue with more intent since his recruiting process has opened back up.
The coaching staff likes him at WR, but Williams was committed to Ole Miss as a cornerback. Obviously, he's talented enough at both positions that he would be intriguing to add to the recruiting class if Vanderbilt misses on Tommy Bush (and still thinks they'll have room for another receiver) or Chandler Jones.
- Speaking of Chandler Jones, he's close to committing. I reached out to him today and asked when he was planning to commit, he replied "very soon." I'll reiterate what I've mentioned on the board before, the feeling is this will be a Louisville/Vanderbilt battle. With a decision possibly coming at anytime, Jones is keeping things close to vest.
