Yes, the local four-star target was at Vanderbilt today and he spent the day with Derek Mason and defensive coordinator Jason Tarver. Hannah has always thought highly of the Commodores and said he grew up a Vanderbilt fan, but I think this latest visit means Vandy is now a major player. The last time we talked to Hannah, he was planning to cut his list soon and make his decision during the summer. We still expect him to stick to that schedule.
Talked with Mitchell today at the NPA Big Man Challenge. Vanderbilt is still in a strong position with him. He recently visited Georgia and took visits Cal and Stanford. He says he wants to visit Virginia, South Carolina, and possibly Duke. The three-star prospect plans to take some officials late spring or early summer. Mitchell doesn't have a timeframe on a decision and could possibly take more officials in the fall, but didn't rule out a summer commitment either.
