Things are very tight between the top 5 teams with respect to RPI rank, even tighter than Tony V’s anus when Corbs indirectly and subtly refers to him being a sleazebag when answering questions posed by Aria Gerson.
With respect to RPI points (not the actual RPI value,) here are the current rankings showing how many points behind the leader the other SEC schools are:
1. Georgia … —-
2. Auburn…. 15
3. Vandy …. 24
4. Texas …. 37
5. Arkansas …. 59
…
8. LSU …. 198
9. ALA …. 206
…
13. FLA …. 249
16. Tenn …. 273
18. Ole Miss …. 328
Head-to-head games can effect the RPI points by about 30-40.
There are numerous potential head-to-head clashes among these teams in Hoover, most notably:
GA-VU, Tex-Tenn,Tex-VU, Tenno-VU, AU-AR, AU-LSU, LSU-AR, VU-AR, VU-LSU, AR-TX, LSU-TX, AU-TX
Head-to-head games involving teams that were opponents of the involved schools effect the RPI points by 2-5.
Games involving non-SEC teams who were opponents of SEC teams effect the RPI points by 1-3 and almost always offset each other this late in the season.
I’ll update the point spread after each days games for those who are interested.
Things are so bad for Tony V that he reportedly hasn’t had a BM since May 9th and, as a result, has driven a bus over several of his players and assistant coaches lately as a way to relieve his discomfort. Even worse, the hillbilly UT fans in Knoxville are on his case big time.
His only recourse may be to leave town and move to Mississippi or Texas.
