Nashville, Tennessee
First off, Louisville lost their weekend series so their “big” win over us meant absolutely zero other that insuring they are an NCAAT 2 seed, now 99% probable to be the Nashville Regional.

RPI is back up to #3 and now only 25 RPI points behind Auburn and 54 behind Georgia. We improved by 51 and 71 points, respectively. #1 is still there for the taking with a favorable final weekend.

KPI is back up to #1. We’re now slightly ahead of #2 Texas and #3 Auburn and have distanced ourselves from #4 Arkansas.

SOS is now #2. We are just slightly behind Auburn, .6080 to .6060. Again, #1 is possible with a good final weekend.

Quad I games. We are now tied with Texas with most wins at 15. Our record is 15-14, they are 15-9. Ours won’t change; their’s might as they travel to Oklahoma. No one else can catch us unless they sweep this weekend (must be GA, ALA, LSU, OM, AUB,ARK.)

ELO ranking. We improved from #11 up to #10. Top 6 are Ark, Tex, LSU, AUB, UNC, GA. Not likely we can overtake any of them.

Conference record: Tied for #4 with GA and AUB. We are very close to clinching a Top 4 seed for Hoover.

Series wins: Now 6-4 overall and 5-4 in the SEC.

ISR; Up 2 spots to #7. We are closely bunched together with LSU, Auburn, UNC, and UC-Irvine but not that far behind the #1 Texas.

If that’s not the resume of a Top 8 seed then I’m a monkey’s uncle, which is impossible, although I could be the distantly related nephew of one.
