Glad to see VU snap the three game losing streak, but it certainly wasn't easy. Take aways from the game:

Now that he is getting back to being healthy, the point guard position is Willis' to lose. He didn't make any baskets tonight, but he ran the offense well, and had four assists to one turnover in 27 or so minutes of play. It's definitely not Austin Jr, nor is it Lee.

VU committed 8 turnovers in the game, only 3 in the second half.

LaChance was absolutely money tonight. 27 points while taking only 11 shots from the field. He was 10-10 from the line, five rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, no turnovers. he drove and finished, as well as drawing numerous fouls. Good for him.

Roberson one board away from a double-double. Fouled out with seven minutes to play. Really didn't think CBD should have had him back in the game at that point, but he didn't ask me. Roberson continues to play very solid basketball for this team.

MFD had an offensive nightmare tonight. However, he did have six boards and three assists, and his lone made three pointer was a huge one, as it gave VU a bit of breathing room late on, making it a five point lead.

Baptiste is continuing to develop. Had a quiet game in many aspects, but he had 8 points, 3 boards, 1 block, no turnovers, no fouls, and one amazing play in which he caught a Willis pass that was behind him, controlled the ball, went to the rack, finished, and was fouled, completing the three point play. It was a big play because it took place late in the game when VU was trying to finish this one out.

Brown and Toye both did some good things, but they did so many things poorly as well. Just don't know how beneficial they will be to the team as the season goes along.

Once again VU had two significant stretches in the game (both in the first half) in which they went 4+ minutes without making a basket.

VU only outrebounded the smaller Radford team by three, and gave up 10 offensive boards in the process. A number of those offensive boards came about with Roberson out of the game; the other guys have to be able to pick up the slack when he is out of the game.

I assume Obinna was sick/injured, as he didn't play at all tonight.

Again, glad to see the team get a win, and loved listening to CBD on the wired up segments; he remains positive, and keeps preaching that to his players.
