Nice job of Sumlin picking the right QB to go against our D. The plan literally was to throw Go routes all night and hope a few hit or that the refs would call invisible PI to keep things alive. A function of having no worry about our offense so the risk / reward makes perfect sense.
Not to pick around the edges of a dead caracas but what happened to our WR bubble screens and quick WR throws? @FlyDore03 are people just walking up and taking those away? They worked nicely the first half of the season.

Jumbo package on short yardage still does not work, has not worked. More ppl in tight with all 11 defenders has not worked. It seemed at times we were successful earlier on in yr. spreading ppl out and running Webb. Not doing that as much any more.
Actually thought our punt coverage and KO coverage (insert comment about only 1) was pretty good but of course the blocked punt. That happens with a bad unit. fix one thing another leaks.
Defense seems to have a trend of taking a series or two to warm up. Need to fix that this Saturday.
Ludwig seems to throw a little wrinkle or two but doesnt commit to anything bc nothing is working. Im not so sure you dont have to simplify and say boys we are running wildcat 12 times and bubble screen 6 and yada yada, so you best figure the hell out how to execute now. There HAS to be an answer to 9 in the box. So far Caleb is the only one getting open at all and he may be out with a concussion.
A&M literally dropped DE to cover Ralph in flat and almost got a pick 6. That screams predictable to me.
Love how hard Ralph is running.
Seems we have no misdirections, counters, rollouts, things that relieve some of the pressure. ut has always been horrible at misdirection and play fakes and over pursuing. We need to figure out how to use that.
TE TE TE...Even when we throw -they drop and the biggest weapon of TE with 9 in box is running vertical. I cant remember the last time a TE was running with back to LOS to catch a pass.
Defense is wearing down - hope they have one more bullet to fire. Despite Taruen giving up the HR, it was obvious A&M had picked Herndon to go after.
I hope the safeties are ready this week. They are going to have to bring the pain on Hurd but also no doubt vawls will try 9 routes and deep posts with Malone.
As usual hopefully by Wednesday the stink of this game will be gone and I will assume we will beat the Hell out of ut. May last till Thursday bc that was one of the worst offensive games in the history of football.
