It would not surprise me to see him trot out there today depending on the situation. I think you have to put your eggs in this basket (winning today). This wouldn't be out of character for Corbin. Remember, Beede and Buehler both pitched in game 2 last year.
The key is for us to get a couple across in the opening inning. But then again, you have to pick your guy prior to knowing how the inning finishes. If he hasn't thrown yet, wouldn't this be close to his middle of the week throwing day. Would think you could throw him an inning or two and he would still be ready to go for a possible Thursday game. If you score a few runs, you leave him out there longer. I think skipping a week could be a good thing for him and may just have been what he needed.
If Buehler goes pretty far, then you still have other options for a possible Thursday game. I think you take one game at a time right now. The key for today, is obviously to put up some runs.
