Were Dia and Shelby pushed out?

The portal really does suck for college sports. For every kid that benefits from it, there are a dozen that stepped on their own dicks. Not to mention the lessons in life that choosing to try to make it around adversity instead of facing it head on teach.

Frustrating. Was hoping to see Dia and Shelby develop into special players here.

College Baseball Power Numbers

I commented on this in the game thread yesterday, but I’m curious of people’s thoughts. I was at the game yesterday & this homer just looked strange to me. He’s kinda off balance and throws the bat at it & it goes 370 (and there wasn’t any wind out). Maybe someone who knows baseball better than me will tell me I’m totally wrong, and launch angle, and all that stuff, but to me, swings like that shouldn’t result in homers. I know college baseball around 2010 when the bats were dead was rough, but they’ve swung way too far in the other direction, in my opinion. Not sure how the scores & power numbers compare, but to me it feels to me like they’re almost back to the aluminum bat days.

Stacks X’s and O’s

This may be a weird question to some, but here we go: is the stuff Stack wants to run, particularly offensively, too complicated to be successful with freshmen/sophomores having to play significant minutes? When you look at the guys who played the most minutes, they are all older guys, which is to be expected…but outside of Colin Smith, did any freshmen really seem to grasp it? And we lost a whole recruiting class from last year…could it possibly be for the same reasons?

I think the stuff he runs is fantastic, probably the best in the conference. So, should be focus in the portal as much/more than HS kids?

9 of the 16 kids who have signed out of HS since Stack got here have transferred out, which just seems like a lot.

Chris Lee and Joey Dwyer look at that, plus, examine whether the NET should be scrapped as a selection tool for the NCAA tournament.
