- Davidson Academy's Glenn Seabrooks visited Vanderbilt for a spring practice last week. I caught up with the local defensive lineman, and he was impressed with the Commodores. I asked when he planned to make a commitment and his response was: "Maybe in the next couple of weeks". He said that Vanderbilt is the school sticking out in his recruitment, and he has no plans to visit other schools. He is a take for Vanderbilt. With that being said, I put in a futurecast for Seabrooks to Vanderbilt.

- Sticking with local defensive lineman, Brentwood Academy's Hank Weber visited Vanderbilt last week as well, and he got plenty of attention from the Commodore coaching staff. Weber has been to Vanderbilt several times, and we were told that this is shaping up to be a Vanderbilt-North Carolina battle. We've been hearing some positive vibes around Vanderbilt, but North Carolina did just beat out the Commodores for local offensive lineman Luke Masterson.

- With Masterson choosing North Carolina, Vanderbilt offered a 6-foot-8 offensive tackle from Denton in Hayden Gunter. He visited Vanderbilt last week, and he is interested in the Commodore program. I should have a story out on him soon. He's a high academic prospect that also excels on the basketball court.

- Also as was reported on here, Vanderbilt got another visit from CPA offensive tackle John Wayne Oliver on Saturday. The 4-star prospect is a national prospect, but the Commodores continue to get him on campus which is always a good thing. Vanderbilt also sits in a great spot with offensive tackle Matty Augustine.
