With wins @ WVU and @ Houston. Impressive.

I was big on Wright and giving him an opportunity but as I watch the UTKJr game most teams when the QB can throw plays more zone compared to the Man Defense if Wright was in which will benefit us in the whole separation thing … if we can continue this run game we may have an amazing offense in the future.

AJ Swann is the starter, but will the Commodores turn to Mike Wright or Ken Seals next if something happens? Chris Lee and Will Perdue go over Clark Lea's answer on that on Tuesday, talk about takeaways from the win and the mental aspects of a head coach getting buy-in from players.

Not to be shutout. They have not score against Alabama the last two games. If you look at the numbers closer they have not scored over 14 against them since 1999.

I, for more than one I suspect, believe we'll have our moments during the game. Specifically, I believe AJ will find and exploit a weakness or two, and I think Patrick Smith will have things to prove. Will we win? Nah. But I don't see us going down like GT did against Ole Miss.

For those that don’t know, former CBJ Offensive Coordinator Des Kitchings is the new OC under Tony Elliott at Virginia.

Last year (which was also Bronco Mendenhall’s last year before an abrupt retirement), UVA was one of the nation’s surprisingly scorching offenses, boasting a record-setting QB in Brennan Armstrong, and 3 highly-productive receivers. They put up massive points.

Even with Mendenhall leaving, Elliott won multiple nattys as Clemson’s OC, so you’d figure with Armstrong and all his wideouts returning this year, the Wahoos would keep that train rolling.

Enter Kitchings and his $#!+ play-calling.

Currently down 16-0 to mighty Syracuse, UVA has already been outscored 40-17 the last couple weeks against Illinois and Old Dominion.

Doubt Kitchings lasts the season.

CBJ & staff, similar to Lea, proved themselves GREAT talent evaluators of diamond-in-the-rough talents.

But my oh my are they terrible game-day coaches.

I gave Lea hell last year. Shoot, I was giving him hell during the NIU game. A lot of people in here have said he takes after his coach Deuce Johnson and coaches not to lose instead of to win.

Lost in the euphoria of A.J. Swann looking like the QB we've all been waiting for, is the fact that Lea was VERY un-Johnson like against NIU.

He benched his starting QB that he took to SEC media days in the fourth game of the season. To start a true freshman. On the road. VERY un-Duece like.

On 4 and 4, down 14 points, on the road, in FG range, midway through the 3rd quarter, what's Lea do? Deuce, and honestly, probably most coaches in that situation, probably kicks the FG. Lea, showing big balls, lets his true freshman QB go for it. TD, and with it, a game changing play.

Point being, Mason was a learning on the job coach that frankly never learned. Lea, well he is a learning on the job coach too. But, apparently, he's figuring this coaching thing out.

I think I may finally be all in on Lea.

Have to give Kevo some props he made a great play on that 4th down play. He split that double team and made that tackle best defense play that I have seen by Vandy in a while.
