Vanderbilt beat UT on 2/22/2017. Since then, we have lost 11 straight to the Vols and 13 straight to UK. We have now lost a combined 24 games in a row against our 2 biggest rivals.

By my calculation, that is the longest such drought for the program since a stretch from 1943-1949 when we lost a combined 30 in a row.

Tennessee crushed Georgia as expected. And Florida dominated USC. But Mississippi State vs. Alabama and A&M vs. Auburn aren’t unfolding as expected so far.

South Carolina is dreadful and LSU and Ole Miss are awful offensively (and not good overall). I'd be floored at this point if Vanderbilt finishes underneath any of those teams.

Is Sneds injured? Did he lose his card? He has not played yet this year and the Farmer’s starts at Torrey Pines tomorrow and he always plays in that tournament.

I understand him being taken in the first round, but top 5 seems crazy.

Richardson as a top 10 pick also seems crazy.

I really like this freshman class.

-Malik Dia is a monster and one we definitely want to keep around West End. Offensively, he’s got game we’ve never seen in Memorial (maybe Charles Davis?). Defensively, I think he’s still trying to figure it out but his body should allow him to become a good defensive player.

-Lee Dort would compliment Dia down low defensively. Shot blocker, good rebounder and, “will dunk for food.”

-Noah Shelby has to figure out the defensive end but I love his belief offensively and think he’ll make a lot of shots here.

-Colin Smith has the body and can rebound, but he needs to work hard on his shooting and his handle. I think he has a lot of upside if he’s a hard worker.

-We have seen the last two games what Paul Lewis is capable of. He looks like a good floor general and can shoot from the PG position which I love.

I really do hope this group of freshmen sticks around so they can play and grow together because they have some real talent. Combination of injuries and these guys starting to earn minutes has led to getting to see these guys start to blossom.

The rest of the year could be rough but I’m excited to watch these guys grow and be ready for next year. I think the incoming guys will be fun to watch too.

Who will be coaching them and will they be here is probably the biggest question with this group.

Long time athletic trainer at Goodpasture passed away last week. One of the good guys, always had a ton of fun when I interacted with him in high school, and really really good at his job.

He’s a 6’0 PG ‘24 recruit at Brentwood Academy that Vandy has offered. His offer list is pretty weak. He lists three on 247 including Vandy and posted his Ole Miss offer on Twitter. What do we know about Tanner and where are the Commodores in his recruitment?

I caught up with recent Vanderbilt offer Gemyel Allen. He plans to visit this spring.

Is there any news on him after he hit his head on the floor Saturday. He had already had a concussion earlier in the year. I thought he was looking pretty good early in the game.
