Baseball cheerleaders

I know this affects only a small number of fans who sit behind the dugouts, but is anyone else bothered by the cheerleaders? I sit on an aisle seat, front row. Unfortunately, it is an aisle where the cheerleaders sit. So, for 9 innings, one or more cheerleaders going up and down, up and down. Passing in front of me and/or standing in front of me while the game is in progress. Somewhere around 120 times a game. (yes, I counted one game). For example, when there are 2 strikes on the opposing batter, they play the clapping music which causes a cheerleader to jump up, run in front of me to hold up her clap sign for 2 seconds and then run in front of me to sit down just as the pitch is being delivered. So, for one hitter, then cheerleader may be up and down 3 or 4 times. This kind of thing goes on for 9 innings. Every time anything comes over the PA system, the cheerleaders jump up and then return just as the pitcher delivers. My wonderful, front row, "unobstructed" view seat is no longer a great seat from which to watch a game. I can't wait for Sunday games because the cheerleaders don't usually come on Sundays. I have suggested that the cheerleaders be restricted to between innings and dead ball situations but of course never receive any reply from anyone. I guess you cannot really appreciate how annoying this is unless you are the one seating in this seat.

A couple of coaching moves...

Steve Lutz of WKU said to be "serious candidate" for Oklahoma St.
Preston Spradlin of Morehead St. to JMU

Rumors are OKSt wanted Alford and couldn't afford him. Or Alford really likes Reno. 15 day coaching search, so far, fwiw.

Seems like JMU landed on their feet. Good for them.

Also, all the comments on the JMU board were very positive re: losing Carey. The gist was they knew they were going to lose him to somebody, might as well be CMB and us. i

Current coaching lineup

May be the best since either the early 1990s with Jim Foster, Gerry Dinardo and Eddie Fogler or early 2010s with Melanie Balcomb, James Franklin and Kevin Stallings. The key starts with Clark Lea’s addition of Jerry Kill who IMO is a top-25 coach in the country. Shea Ralph looks great and I feel we may have hit a triple with Mark Byington. And we still have the best in Tim Corbin.

JRT and JQ

After watching JM play, I can see JRT be an extremely successful player in Byingtons system. Hopefully he comes back. I can see him being very disruptive on Defense he needs more structure learn...

He needs to work hard on ball handling and work on his shot and shot selection....but if he stays....gets stronger and is patient...he will have a chance at a pro roster somewhere.

JQ is a beast and has a real chance to also be very good defensively and plays strong above the rim.

We have pretty much agreed that we need shooters, but we have some good pieces and with confidence and coaching we have some good pieces....
