North Carolina announced Tuesday that Mack Brown will not return next season, one day after the Hall of Fame coach declared his intentions to return to the Tar Heels. Athletic director Bubba Cunningham informed Brown of his decision on Tuesday.

Brown, 73, will coach the team in the regular-season finale against NC State on Saturday, but a decision has not yet been made about whether he will coach the Tar Heels (6-5) in their bowl game.

For just the second time in program history, Vanderbilt has had two teammates win weekly awards.

SEC Player of the Week- Khamil Pierre

She averaged 18.0 points 12.0 rebounds & 3.5 steals per game & shot 56.7% from the field last week. This is her first player of the week honor.

SEC Co-Freshman of the Week- Mikayla Blakes

Blakes averaged 18.0 points and led all SEC freshmen at 6.5 assists per game last week.

This is her second time winning freshman of the week.

Call me crazy, but I think Nate Johnson will play a pretty big role in our inevitable victory this weekend. I am hoping to God that Clark and Beck realize that Pavia is too limited to be getting 98% of the snaps this weekend. While he may be fighting an injury I still think he should get 70% of our snaps. Hoping to see something similar to 2013 with ACS and Patton splitting reps down the stretch. Would like to see more downfield throws from both, and please god let these officials have the balls to call a few roughing the passers.
