Been a lot of discussion about the depth and size of the D-Line this coming year. We would all agree the best defense is VU history was the 96-97 teams and looking back they did not have huge d-lineman at the time ( yea the game has changed some ) and yes the back 7 was the GOATS and we had 2 lockdown corners. But looking at the D- Line there was not that much size and in fact 97 might have been even smaller with Aulds coming in? I realize Duncan, Jordon, Hall and Turner at LB comes along every 100 yrs for VU but with the staff's hopeful success in the secondary recruiting could we build a 96-97 defense again without the 350# DT ?? Could that 96-97 defense compete in today's SEC ?
