Despite the general consensus among d1 baseball, BA, and PG, that Vandy is a lock for a top 8 National Seed, why do they all continue to rank us so low?

I know this has no bearing on the Selection Committee who goes by the metrics (we’re top 5 in almost every metric) but this disrespect makes me wonder what’s up since it’s so pervasive

Is it simply because most of them just adjust week-by-week based on weekend results and, therefore, don’t really consider the big picture? Are the top 8 ranked teams consistently “winning the week” that it prevents us from moving up?
Inquiring minds want to know; not that it matters, I just don’t like seeing Vandy disrespected by the national media.
Is it just another case of fake news?
