I was listening to Chris's podcast with Seabass today, and they were talking about other non-SEC power five programs VU has played over the years. It got me thinking about the players. We've seen so many great SEC players over the decades, but what about non-SEC players? Who is the best non-SEC player you've seen Vandy play in person?
Me, it's a tie between Jim Kelly (Miami, the U!) and Bruce Smith (Va. Tech). My memory is playing tricks on me, because I was a kid at both games and I may be misremembering about Smith, I know he was on that team, but part of me thinks he was injured and didn't play in that game. It was almost forty years ago, and I can't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, so whatever. I just thought it would be an interesting thread to see who everyone comes up with.
