James Franklin gave them the on the field blueprint to win at Vanderbilt: 4-3, spread, be aggressive on the field and in recruiting, and utilizing trick plays when we needed one. Yet, they hired the coach who was the polar opposite of that. Personality wise, I’m fine with having the opposite of James, that makes some sense, but surely they could have found a coach to have a different personality but still do very similar things and have a similar approach.
