If you all are wondering why things are quiet considering it's the last official visit weekend, it's because Vanderbilt prefers to keep it that way this weekend. They are keeping things very close to the vest in regards to visitors that are on campus, therefore, we don't have much to report other than Wisconsin commit Jordan Griffin and DeMatha (Md.) running back Jaire George are on campus.
In regards to George, he is a prospect we told you about earlier in the week in which he confirmed with us that he was visiting this weekend and that Vanderbilt is looking at him as a running back. There is a lot of discussion that he is a preferred walk-on option, that could be true. However, there is also a case that he could end up with a legitimate offer from Vanderbilt in order to fill their need at running back.
After Griffin's visit, he will be deciding on whether to stick with his Wisconsin pledge, or flip to either South Florida or Vanderbilt.
Are there other prospects on campus right now? You bet. But, for now no names are being released because Vanderbilt wants things to be on the down low.
