- DT commit Jordan Butler will take his official visit to Northwestern this weekend. He has an official visit to Vanderbilt scheduled for next weekend. It looks like he'll take both officials since he's never been to either school, and then make a decision.
- The mystery around the newly-minted, four-star prospect continues. I caught up with Kaufman last night, who told me his in-home visit with Vanderbilt went well this week. I asked him if he was planning to sign this month, he replied, "my class is signing in February."
So, if you are keeping track:
- his camp told Rivals.com analyst Sam Spiegelman that he's waiting until February to sign to see if bigger schools will come calling
- Kaufman has told the Vandy coaches during this week's in-home visit that he will sign this month
- He told us that he's signing in February with the rest of his team
Guess we'll find out how it all plays out soon. Kaufman will be taking his official visit to Vanderbilt next weekend, so the coaching staff still has time and a big opportunity to convince him to sign early.
