This is Murray Harris courtside and live from historic Memorial gymnasium on the campus of Vanderbilt University with the Murray Harris pregame show. tonight the vanderbilt Commodores are taking on the Auburn Tigers in a conference match up in which the Commodores are looking to get their first SEC win of the season. Auburn comes into the game with only three losses and those losses are to Tennessee, Iowa State, and Mississippi State, all of whom of are really good basketball team. With that being said, the Auburn Tigers a really good basketball team coming in here tonight and the Commodores only have seven players available for tonight’s game as Brinae Alexander, Chelsea Hall, and Jordyn Cambridge are still sideline with injuries but they will be available for the Ole Miss game. Walk-on Isabella Paldrmic is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL, which she did in practice-very unfortunate. Murray Harris’ keys to tonight’s game are ball security-we must take care of the ball better, especially better than we did Sunday in Fayateville, against Auburn’s smothering defense and zone press; we must also stay out of foul trouble but look to still be agressive, which is a hard medium to find. Everybody must be willing to give everything the Have for the whole game, play together-there was some chippiness among some of the players recently and that had to be addressed by the coaches, and Bree Horrocks and the new walk-on Sarah Gordon coming off the bench have to be ready to play. We are underdogs tonight but hopefully we can pull out a victory. That is all with the Murray Harris pregame show and be sure to catch tonight’s action on SEC Network+ or tune your radio dial to the voice of the women’s basketball team Charlie Mattos on 95.9FM and 560AM. Black! Gold! Black! Gold! Who ya with? VU! Who ya with? VU! Vandy Vandy oh hell yea! Conquer and Prevail!
