Weather willing, Dores play Evansville at 4:30 Wednesday.

Chance Huff is expected to start for Vandy.

Huff, despite a 27.00 ERA and poor performance in his only appearance this year against Virginia last Friday, has a record of 1-0. Baseball's scoring rules are somewhat weird* sometimes and sometimes don't even make logical sense. Even so, perhaps Huff will settle down and show what he can do.

*The rules say a starter has to go 5 innings in order to "qualify" for a win, should their team be ahead. To "qualify" for a loss, however, you need not even get a single out. So, right off the bat, that's unfair and illogical. However, this rule ONLY APPLIED TO THE STARTING PITCHING. Any pitcher after that can be lousy, yet still get the win, just as Huff showed us on Friday.
It's also possible for someone to get a save after having "blown a save" in the same game. Again, not logical. THERE ARE NO SECOND CHANCES IN BASEBALL! If you screw up, you screw up, and no amount of "good" play after that can erase your screw up. If a shortstop boots a ground ball for an error in the first inning, and then proceeds to single-handedly get the next 27 batters out it DOESN'T MATTER, he still has an error charged to him.
