I was listening to the podcast with Mitch yesterday and one of the mailbag questions was Mitch's perspective of the midfield melee. Mitch said he was on the other side of the field. I was on the Florida sideline when it all went down, you can even see Vosean Joseph tell me to "Get that F'n camera out of my face" while leaving the Florida sideline.
From my perspective, Derek Mason waited and waited on Mullen and his staff to tell his players (5-10 guys) to show respect for his injured player. Florida was sleepwalking until that hit on Dare and in my opinion, Mullen wasn't willing to tell his guys to shut up just after "waking up" because they needed that shot of adrenaline. If the score was opposite of what it was there's no doubt in my mind Mullen would've shut a few of those guys up. Once Derek Mason realized Mullen and the coaches weren't going to put a stop to the disrespect, he said what he said.
