There has been some mention and talk of Ike Anigbogu out of Centennial (Calif.) recently on the board. Vanderbilt has been interested in him for a while and HC Kevin Stallings and his staff were watching him in Dallas this past weekend at the Adidas Uprising.

I reached out to Devin Ugland, who covers recruiting over at TrojanSports.com and is very familiar with Anigbogu having watched him play on numerous occasions being based in SoCal. Here is what he had to say about the three-star prospect:

"I've seen Ike a lot over the past few years. He's a true post guy with a ton of potential. Great hands, dunks everything at the rim, great catcher and finisher of lob passes. His back to the basket game is still a work in progress."

"Defensively, he's tough. Great instincts, timing when blocking shots, stud rebounder in traffic."

"He's really starting to breakout, so he doesn't have favorites as of yet, but that UCLA offer is big with the Compton Magic ties. SMU has offered too, and his high school teammate Sedrick Barefield is heading there, so that will be of consideration. Arizona, USC, and most PAC-12 schools have shown interest."

Another Center of Interest

It appears that Vanderbilt is also interested in '16 DeSoto (Tex.) center Marques Bolden as well according to Rivals National Hoops Analyst Eric Bossi. The four-star prospect plays for Pro Skills Elite on the EYBL circuit and has offers from Louisville, Kansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, UCLA, Miami, and Texas just recently offered. He's a beast down low, listed at 6-foot-10, 240-pounds.
