- We've had a lot of updates on tight ends in recent days and for good reason, the Commodores have had three swing through on recent visits. Woodland Hills (Pa.) product Josh Rawlings was the most recent on campus this past weekend, here is what he had to say about his time on West End:

On his overall visit:

"I'm not gonna lie, it was PHENOMENAL"

On what stood out:

"I loved the coaching staff and Coach Mason. Very impressed, I felt the love. And with that I love how he's focused on how the player's grow as men."

On how you like Vandy and their use of TE's in their offense:

"Love it! Coach Fitz showed me how Jared Pinkney was used last year in the run game and how they also split him out wide. I believe I would thrive in that offense."

Vanderbilt also had tight end targets Matthew Hibner and Jake Overman in for visits last week. Cy Ranch (Tex.) product Drake Dabney also has the Commodores in his Top 8 and Vandy is also in a good spot with Sam Daugstrip as well. It appears the Commodores will take two tight ends in this class and out of all the targets mentioned, they seem to be in good shape with Rawlings, Dabney, Overman, and Daugstrip.

- Vanderbilt will hold their first summer elite camp and specialists on Monday. I will be there for full coverage and will be for all of the Commodores' camps throughout the summer. As always, June is expected to be a very busy month for recruiting with camps, visitors, and commitments. We'll have it all covered.

- Kane will be visiting Vanderbilt on June 2nd-3rd. He will be at Rutgers later this week before heading to Nashville. After his Vandy visit, the safety target will head out west to visit UCLA, Cal, and Stanford. West Virginia, Purdue, and Baylor are other schools in the mix.

- Vanderbilt made the Top 5 for the Conway (S.C.) defensive end. The Commodores have made a strong push recruiting the east coast in the last few recruiting cycles and are continuing that momentum. At this point, I see Hemingway staying on the east coast, in-state school South Carolina will likely be the biggest hurdle here.

- It wasn't a surprise to see Vanderbilt among the top schools for the in-state defensive end target. The three-star prospect told me he's been in weekly contact with DL coach Jovan Haye and is planning to get back up to Vandy sometime this summer. Of the other schools on his list, Arkansas seemed to be making the strongest push, but I've heard they've backed off on their pursuit a bit.

- Coming off a weekend visit a couple of weekends ago where Wesley said the Commodores were at the top of his list. The three-star prospect released a Top 8 that included Vandy, Iowa State, Arizona, Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, and Syracuse. The kicker here is Northwestern extended an offer last week, so it will be interesting to see where the hometown school will fit in with Wesley now. Would have to think they will be a big factor now. Regardless, Wesley has a great relationship with Derek Mason, so expect the Commodores to always be in the fight.
