Multiple pain points here, but biggest for me is losing 6 OL/DL's with none coming in. For most of my VU Fandom, we have been at a huge deficit in the trenches, and we can't afford to have this kind of attrition with only HS players to fill the holes. Counting on true fresh to contribute on the line of scrimmage is a losing proposition in the SEC, especially VU since we don't usually get the "ready-made" types coming in.
This was probably my biggest gripe with the new staff last year. Lea admitted he did a poor job and vowed to do better this year. So far, it couldn't be much worse. Do we have a shot at any impact transfers? Anybody have some info that would give some hope other than "In Barton we trust?"
