Here are some things I have heard.
1- Players (and the coaches) LOVE the new strength coach and his program. Huge difference from a year ago.
2- New OC is HUGE upgrade from a year ago.
3- Depth (or lack there of) is the biggest concern
4- Defense is excited about having CDM in charge.
My opinion: I believe these changes will allow VU to be "in" a lot more games than people expect. What it ultimately will come down to is what CJF was so great about, getting everyone.. players, coaches fans etc..to believe VU was going to win the 4th quarter and the game. Obviously not many Vu coaches were able to do this prior to CJF, but this will be critical if CDM is to not only survive, but thrive at VU. No doubt he is a great guy and well respected as a mentor for the kids, so everyone is pulling for him to get all associated with he football program to "believe" again.
