First - In my mind, VU is 7 regular season wins from clinching an NCAA tourney bid. So every game is big from that standpoint as there are just no easy wins on the schedule.
2nd - Quad 1 opportunity at least at this point (will be saying that for most games from here on out)
3rd. Good chance if VU wins both games this week they will be in top 25 (I just can’t see them being ranked behind a MSU in most peoples poles, I’d almost guarantee they go into Gary Parrish’s top 25 and 1 tomorrow with a win here). They could go in even with a win here and road loss Saturday but I think the latter will be too fresh on folks minds to put them in when they don’t have them before
4th - their schedule is so hard when you lose a home game you have to make that up somewhere and there just aren’t any close to auto wins left so better not to just give one up.
