From CBS Sports:

Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells were jailed overnight after firing a BB gun outside a dorm on campus.

Two Florida freshman wound up in Alachua County Jail early Monday morning with serious felony charges. According to the details of the arrest report, Tyrie Cleveland and Rick Wells, both wide receivers from the Gators' 2016 recruiting class, were firing a BB gun at some dorm windows near the Keys Residential Complex on campus.

When the two players were identified by video and picked up by the authorities early Monday morning, they were charged with third-degree felony property damage and a second-degree weapons felony for "shooting a missile into a dwelling."

According to the police report, obtained by CBS Sports, Cleveland and Wells cooperated by both admitting to shooting out the windows and turning their BB guns over to authorities after being read their Miranda rights.

Cleveland, a four-star wide receiver from Jacksonville, was the highest-rated prospect in Florida's 2016 signing class per the 247Sports Composite.

With the status of Antonio Callaway, still suspended indefinitely, unknown as of the 2016 SEC Media Days last week, opportunity was there for Cleveland, Wells and several other players to step up into primary contributor roles in the offense.

There has been no official response to the arrest news from Florida or coach Jim McElwain at this time.
