When looking at #1 I believe the only discriminating factor that hurts us (most all else is even) is that UCLA did not lose a series all year and we lost 2. Some metrics favor us, other metrics favor them. RPI is essential the same (ten-thousandths of a point separate us.)
Had we held on to beat A&M in game 2 I think that would have been negated. But we didn't. So we'll likely end up #2.
We barely avoid the Kiss of Death.
