This is not a fire Bankins thread. That is for another day and another discussion...

- Special Teams: anyone speculate on Openshaw going backwards. I am not just talking about makes/misses. It seems his leg strength and distance has been cut. Is it the double duty with punting? A new snapper and timing?

- Special Teams: Ryan White has turned in a couple good games and improving. Takes me back to a couple years ago when Krause caught everything in the air and always gained field position. It makes a huge difference with a struggling offense.

- Special Teams: Punt and KO coverage still make me nervous. Still seems to be a lot of close calls. Hate we dont have a kicker that can get it 5+ yards into the endzone for touchback. Makes for a big difference over the course of a game.

- Safeties: really love Burkes' physical attributes and attitude, it just seems like he and Williamson are struggling on the deep balls even though we haven't paid for it yet. Several bad flat angles and delay getting back to their 1/3. I am assuming this defense puts a lot of strain on Safeties to be up in both coverage and run support but I am concerned we are going to get beat over the top soon.

- Offense & Points: I didnt cut and paste the latest O stats but it is amazing to me this team can be doing as well as it is in 3rd down conversions and TOP and still be so poor at scoring. Historically 3rd down conversions really told the story of how well an O could perform. They seem to be doing quite a few things well and still have little to show for it. Ludwig seems to be a master at keeping the game on schedule - that is to say give him 3 downs and he can get them a first down. Each play works toward the next. However, a penalty or loss or redzone really seem to make that unfixable.

- interested in ppl's thoughts on why O is moving the ball probably at a clip that should get then 21-24 points a game but not finish. My best guess and not trying to be a homer, but that the scheme and calls are more important in the longer, open field and closer to goal line its more about athletes and 1:1 matchups.

Finally OLINE: seems they did a lot of rotation on the right side of the line thru the game. Did that stay constant throughout? Seemed like they were rotating 3-4 guys for 2 spots. That seemed to help some, not sure if they have been doing that before this game or not.

PS - what do we see Saturday (whether you agree or not) 1 QB Shurmur / 1 QB JMac / Both of a planned basis.
