First a few observations:

1) he is very cool on the sidelines, haven’t seen much, if any, emotion from him during any games.

2) he seems to defer to assistants often. Today he let an assistant draw up the play during a TO.

3) seems highly aware of matchups and who is hot or cold on his team, and makes adjustments accordingly.

There have been moments during games where I wish he would show more emotion, not only with players but especially with Refs. I’ve not once see him argue a call, and there were several bad ones today where I was surprised to see him calm and not animated. I didn’t even see him protest, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he didn’t.

I think #2 and #3 are refreshing characteristics that are unfamiliar to me as a Vandy fan. If we weren’t 9-1, I’d say #1 was bothersome, but hey, can’t argue with the outcomes, right? I do wonder he’ll show more emotion as he learns the team better and figures out how to motivate with emotion. Or maybe he won’t — maybe it’s just not his style.

What do yall think?
