Over the past 3-4 years it seems all the teams I root for have at major injuries to major players.

2014-2015: Joel Embiid out for the year
2015-2016: Joel Embiid out for the year,
2016-2017:Luke Kornet misses a good chunk of time, Ben Simmons out for the year
2017-2018: MFD out for much of the year, Markelle Fultz out for much of the year and never lives up to #1 pick, Carson Wentz tears ACL in what would have been MVP season, Simi Shittu tears ACL during HS senior year
2018-2019: Carson Wentz breaks back and misses playoffs, Darius Garland misses all but 4 games
2019-2020: Andrew McCutchen tears ACL and Phillies really never the same after, Eagles get decimated with injuries throughout the season, Clevon Brown misses most of SR season, Aaron Nesmith misses SEC season after tearing up out of conference games.
This week: Ben Simmons hurts his back and Joel Embiid hurts his shoulder.

In short I seem to be cursed with teams I follow having major injuries, so it's my fault for the Nesmith, Garland, MFD, Shittu, and Brown injuries...
