Bart Torvik has VU basically in a 3 way tie for 13th in defensive efficiency (tied with OK and LSU, only ahead of KY who is way down in defense but they also are the top offensive team). This is almost exclusively due IMO to their lack of height/size and rim protection. Their physical limitations really show up here. Also there is a decent size gap before you hit the teams ahead of them.
They have VU basically tied with Texas at 7th in offensive efficiency. They are close to 6th but also close to 9th, 10th , etc.
