Keep this up and no one can beat us without throwing a shutout against us, but that won’t be possible if we keep this up. Which means there was no need to add that qualifier after all.
I was just making sure I hadn’t inadvertently set up the need for an anti-jinx.
One final point. By run ruling UTjr it allowed Bowker to get the Win. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have pitched enough innings to do so. He deserved the W after the way he pitched, his best performance of the year IMHO.
He was my only concern with respect to starting pitching. I am no longer concerned.
All I’m concerned about is who starts the championship game, or, will it be a bullpen day? We have the pitchers to go either way thanks to Bowker/Fennell today.
