SEC tournament

Texas A&M is the No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament due to its two-point OT win against Kentucky on Feb. 20, but the Wildcats are the BPI favorite. Kentucky has been one of the most improved teams in the nation, and with the emergence of Jamal Murray (major conference PPG leader since Feb. 1), have moved up to 11 spots to 14th in BPI in the last month.

The SEC also has a number of teams on the bubble, including Florida and LSU, according to Joe Lunardi. Despite a bye into the quarterfinals, LSU and Ben Simmons have a mere 11 percent chance to reach the final and 3.6 percent chance to win the tournament. Florida’s chances are only slightly better – 12 percent to reach the finals and 5.2 percent chance to win the title.
