Baseball SEC Player of the Year

I tuned in the SEC Network last night to revel in their wall-to-wall coverage of our SEC championship.
No, I'm kidding, you really think they'd do that? Not a chance in hell, my friends. They hardly know Vanderbilt exists on the SEC Network. Which is why I rarely watch it.

Actually, it took quite a while before there was any mention of Vandy. It was mostly softball stuff.

In any event, Kyle Peterson and Chris Burke went to the video board to present their picks for SEC Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, and Coach of the Year.

Much to my surprise, both Peterson and Burke picked a Vandy player as Player of the Year.
Peterson chose Austin Martin.
Burke chose JJ Bleday.

So, what do you think? Which of them would you give the award to? I can make great arguments for both of them but, in the end, I'm going with the guy who drives in runs and hits home runs, JJ Bleday.
The deciding factor for me? Martin is a sophomore and can win the award next year !
