I talked to source close to Rutger Reitmaier this morning, and he confirmed that Rutger got his release from Oregon yesterday. The timing was good news, but there are still 'lots of moving parts' in the situation. I asked what schools Rutger was talking to at the moment and the reply was 'Vandy right now. He would really like to be close to home.' While Vanderbilt is the only school that he is in communication with, Rutger also put in paperwork to talk to Tennessee, Duke, Arkansas, and Michigan. So, there's a small window (to the 24th) to make it through admissions at Vanderbilt. If that happens, all signs point to Rutger Reitmaier becoming a Commodore. That'd be a huge addition at a position of need, and he'd be another instate product added to the roster.
