Perhaps someone who knows more than I do about the technology involved can shed some light on this. When officials go to review a play, why do we see 5 or 6 or more replays on the jumbo screen which seem to clearly indicate the correct call, yet the officials are still at the scorers' table looking at their screen? Last night on an out of bounds play, the very first replay we saw clearly showed a Vandy player touched the ball last, but it was still some time before the officials finished their look at it. How many times at home have you seen a football review where TV shows a dozen replays from different angles, yet the referee is still there looking at that little screen? I know this is a little thing, but I was just wondering.
