These days more and more players are leaving college in order to get to professional basketball (whether this is the NBA or the G league or overseas). College basketball at places other than Duke/UK/KU etc is becoming less and less “cool” and getting to the pros is all that matters. Scottie has the ball in his hands more than any player in the country (listed at 1st in usage on the broadcast) and will have some incredible stats at the end of the year to at least back up leaving.
Think about it... he goes from his LA mansion to living in a terrible college dorm, playing on an awful team, and taking vanderbilt classes. Might as well make money next year playing ball. After he leaves we’ll be set back another few years. We are cursed
