First of all, congrats to Shurmur, this kid has worked his tail off to get to be this good.

Now, to my point about how the offense COULD be in trouble these next 4 games. (Notice how I put could in caps? Because I'm not saying it will happen, only that it COULD.)

I love defense. Love it!! The first goal of any defense is to make the opposing offense one dimensional. Well, guess what? Our offense is ALREADY one dimensional. We can't run against anyone.

We played a Conference USA opponent that we had over 250 yards rushing on last year. Don't even get 100 this year even though they basically lost their entire front 7 from last year. Then a bad I-AA school and our 3rd string back is our leading rusher against their back-up defense.

My point is simply that K-State, Bama, UF, and UGA will be significantly harder to run on, while also simultaneously being harder to throw on.

As much improvement as Shurmur and his receivers have obviously made, can they beat real defenses without a running game?

I guess we start getting that answer about 6:30 Saturday night.

Be there early, be loud, and ANCHOR DOWN!!
