The two big fish freshmen have not only played a lot, but their elite talent has put them in huge games with elite dudes. Simi played with RJ Barrett for Canada (and honestly played a whole lot like him, only bigger). DG played with guys like Wiseman in tourneys and aau events. Even our less touted Nesmith won lots of championships alongside two high level teammates. It helps a ton that these three freshmen are not raw, "potential" type freshmen. They'll have the most advanced skills on the team.
Our two guard started as a freshman and played a huge role.
The two transfers not only played college ball, but have practiced with the returnees for a year. I believe these two will prove more valuable than expected based on their "advanced" years.
And our bench guys are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year guys.
There's a lot of hidden experience in this newly constructed roster that may have us up and running smoothly a bit sooner than folks expect.
