Since we have no live sports, it might be an opportunity to watch through some epic (and not-so-epic) sports movies. Share your top five and discuss. I'll start.
In no particular order:
1. The Natural. Does the mythical parts of baseball well without the cheese of Field of Dreams.
2. Rocky IV. Responsible for the fall of communism in Eastern Europe and the death of the USSR.
3. Hoosiers. Everything that is great about sports wrapped up in one movie.
4. The Sandlot. Perhaps the most relatable sports movie for most people. And simply a great story.
5. Caddyshack. "You'll get nothing and like it!" Soon I'll be able to show my kids why I tell them this and subsequently snicker at least 5 times a week.
