That was a really enjoyable first season. Basketball was fun again, FINALLY.
But, to take the next step, we simply need better players. You can't have JUST mighty mouse as your only threat. To many times this year, especially on the road and neutral sites, we simply didn't have enough scoring to beat good teams at neutral sites (Drake, Texas, and St. Marys).
Love Jason Edwards, but a (being kind) 6 foot guard being your only real threat (if Nickel is throwing up bricks) isn't going to get us past being one and done.
We need a couple of shooters or slashers on the wings and a big that's, well, big, to go with Edwards, Glock, Nickel, Carey, and Tanner, and we could be a sweet 16 or elite 8 team next year.
Gotta have more scoring, NIL time!!
